概念說明/Design Concept
如果早晨進入至糖廠，在仁義路隱隱車流聲的背景中，大榕樹與電線桿旁會有許多鳥類在樹群間飛翔，牠們或停留、或嬉戲、或覓食，充分展現工業活動退場大自然回歸後的一片生機，鳥語啁啾。
羽翼之亭以彷彿擷取飛翔姿態的彎曲竹構件，序列式地架構對外形成一個鮮明、往外擴的視覺張力，呼應場所動態感的同時，也迎接至此的人們。
期許以竹構輕盈的姿態帶領來訪者休憩、嬉戲、融入環境。
Upon entering the sugar factory in the early morning, beyond the busy traffic on Renyi Road, many birds fly among the large banyan trees and power line poles, either stopping, playing or foraging for food. Birds singing in chorus fully demonstrates the vibrancy of nature after the retreat of industrial activities.
Pavilion of Wings is constructed with a sequence of curved bamboo elements taken from flying postures, creating a clear, outwardly expanding visual tension that echoes the dynamics of the site while welcoming those who come to visit the pavilion.The lightness of the bamboo structure is expected to lead visitors to rest, play and integrate into the environment.

發展過程/Development Process
所有的設計思考皆圍繞著「如何以竹構本身的特性表達彷彿飛翔的動態感」來進行：（1）充分利用竹材作為容易以火烤彎曲進而定型的材料 （2）彎曲的竹架構皆以鉸接接合，以三角拱的結構系統表達恍如會動的感受 （3）石頭作為基礎，除了材質的自然感、拔地而起的意象傳達，也透過與竹材脫開形成輕巧的視覺感 (4)透光的屋面材料看起來更為輕盈 (5)弧形銅片收邊形成圓潤、流線感 （6）屋簷邊界的弧線與大榕樹和茄苳樹的邊緣形成飛翔路徑的天際線 （7）往外上斜的竹材端部需要受到保護，避免積水，以羽毛/鳥爪的形式成型
All design thinking revolves around the idea of “how to use characteristics of the bamboo structure itself to express aerodynamics of bird flight”: (1) Make full use of bamboo as a material that can be easily bent and shaped by heat. (2) The curved bamboo frames are secured by articulated joints, and the structural system of triangular arches expresses a sense of motion. (3) Stones are used for the foundation, which, in addition to the natural feel of the material, also conveys the idea of launching from the ground, creating a sense of lightness by being visually seperated from bamboo. (4) Light-transparent roofing materials look more lightweight. (5) Curved copper sheets wrapping the edges create a rounded, streamlined appearance. (6) The arched outline of the bamboo canopy and crowns of Banyan and Fortuna trees form the skyline of the flight route. (7) Drip edges are molded in the form of a feather/bird’s claw, preventing the upward-sloping ends of bamboo from accumulating rainwater.
